Tampa Visit
Feb. 2006

Joe & Reta's Keystone Lake cottage
The cyprus and palm trees are terrific. They remind me of coastal South Carolina.

Joe had a big fancy pontoon boat but we enjoyed just poking around in George Hanson's old rowboat.
At Reta & Joe's house we were treated to a Monarch show. Linda had a cage with several Monarchs coming to adulthood and emerging from their crysalis ready to be released.

I have less white hair than Reta does :-)
Ryan was a big surprise since we last saw him. He has gotten so tall.

The gang lined up at a restaurant halfway between Tampa and David & Laura's house in Orlando.

We drove out to Howard County Park near Tarpon Springs
New Mexicans gravitate to water at every opportunity.

The fog and reflections over Keystone Lake at dawn

I really enjoyed sitting out on the end of the dock with binoculars and a cup of morning coffee. We saw an amazing collection of birds, Wood Ducks, Great Blue Heron, Egrets, diving ducks, Cormorant, seagulls, Osprey, Vultures, crows, redheaded woodpeckers and a large hawk that was busy building a nest in one of the Cypress trees right next to the dock.

It looks like a jungle with the vines growing up the trees.

Coffee is the drink of the morning then wine has its turn in the evening. I am contemplating our last day, tomorrow we will be homeward bound.

This is New Orleans and the Mississippi River from the window of our plane. Lake Ponchatrain is at the top.

Flying over Texas, we saw a forest fire and another plane crossing our path just below us.

Home again. The next morning we saw a hot air balloon float by our bedroom window.

Blue missed us and he has his foot on Carol's so we wont leave again :-)
